The Affiliate Program

This information is important: Make sure to read through each page as it will help you get your affiliate links posted on your web site. Download the pdf or save these pages to your computer for future reference.

Step 2: Affiliate Hoplink Instructions

Once you have signed up at Clickbank for an affiliate account (it’s free, just go back to Step 1 to see the Clickbank Sign Up Instructions if you missed them), then you are ready to start promoting and marketing the e-book.

Marketing the The 3BG System e-book is simple. All you do is put special links on your web pages, blog, or in your newsletters to send traffic to the website.

These links are called “Clickbank HOPLINKS” and they are important because this is how Clickbank keeps track of the traffic you send to the website and gives you credit for the e-book sales you generate.

Now that you have your Clickbank Account set up, the next step (which might be the most important step of all) is learning how to set up and/or make a hoplink.

Follow these instructions very carefully.

YOU are responsible to make sure your hoplinks are coded correctly.

Here is how to correctly make your hoplink:

The current standard Clickbank hoplink format looks like this:

3bgwellnes is the vendor (product) name, so that looks like this:

All you have to do is insert YOUR Clickbank affiliate nickname in the place where the xxxxxxx is located.

For example, if your affiliate nickname is beergut27 (note: use YOUR nickname, this is just an example!), then the hoplink would look like this:

That’s all there is to it.

When someone clicks through YOUR hoplink, they are redirected to and a “cookie” (a small tracking file) is dropped onto the computer of the visitor. This “marks” that visitor as coming from your referral.

Clickbank uses 60-day cookies. That means if the people you send to purchase that day or if they return any time within the next 60 days, you will get the commission for the sale (currently a 75% commission rate of the sale).

One last suggestion…

If you are using hoplinks on a web page, it is best you use a “DISPLAY URL” of rather than exposing the actual Clickbank hoplink.

Tests have shown that when people realize they are being sold something on a commission basis (as opposed to simply getting a recommendation from an independent 3rd party), the conversion rates may drop, therefore it’s best to hide your affiliate hoplink in your HTML code and use as the display link.

Advanced Internet marketers sometimes use “link cloaking” or “affiliate redirects” for this reason. If you’re interested in “affiliate redirects” the Affiliate URL, click HERE to learn how.
